Pacha is the quintessential Accoyo male. He exhibits all the characteristics that the term Accoyo represents - large bodied, strong bone, beautiful typey head with a tight wool cap, dense full fiber coverage with deep crimp and spectacular bundling. Pacha's sire, 6Peruvian Accoyo Pinachi, was personally selected by Julio Sumar in the last Peruvian importation as was his dam, 6Peruvian Accoyo Puncha. We are very excited to be able to add the genetics of Pacha to our herd. Pacha is proudly co-owned with John and Eveanne Schiavo of Carpe Diem Ranch in West Fulton N.Y..
Pacha's first crias arrived in 2005 and they were everything we hoped - tight wool caps, beautiful heads, lovely, crimpy, fine fiber! What more could you ask for???? A second cria crop that surpassed the first!! What a thrill - babies that consistently exhibit great bone, beautiful typey heads, gorgeous bundled fiber and outstanding conformation. In addition, Pacha now has 11 babies on the ground and 7 are female!! He continues to endear himself to us with his pleasing personality and quirky traits - he's rarely to be found without a piece of hay in his mouth!
FIBER FLASH! Pacha sheared 12 gorgeous pounds of fleece this year!
