The time of year that often produces the most anxiety for new breeders is in the spring - shearing time! At GlimmerGlass Alpacas, we've worked with professional shearers and, for the last 3 years, have done our own shearing. For those owners who would like to learn how to shear their own alpacas, we offer the opportunity to work with us so that you can learn to feel comfortable shearing with electric shears and also hand shears. We will show you different systems of restraints that will decrease shearing "stress" for the alpaca and the shearer!
